An ESD warehouse is a storage facility designed to protect electrostatic discharge-sensitive goods through conductive flooring, bonding and grounding systems, and controlled environmental conditions. ESD stands for electrostatic discharge—even an imperceptible static spark can permanently damage semiconductor components or circuit boards without leaving any visible trace. Standard features include conductive floor coverings, grounding mats, bonding rails, and humidity control kept between 30 and 70 percent relative humidity. Staff wear ESD wrist straps or anti-static footwear, and shelving, transport containers, and packaging materials carry equivalent anti-static treatment. Unlike a cleanroom, an ESD warehouse focuses solely on controlling electrostatic charge rather than particulate contamination.
