> The e-dec shutdown date refers to the cut-off on which Switzerland's previous customs clearance system e-dec is permanently decommissioned and replaced by the BAZG's new goods traffic system Passar.

The e-dec shutdown date refers to the cut-off on which Switzerland's previous customs clearance system e-dec is permanently decommissioned and replaced by the BAZG's new goods traffic system Passar. The migration is staggered by domain: e-dec Export was already replaced on 1 January 2026 (since then only Passar Ausfuhr). For imports, the last import customs declaration in e-dec Import is possible on 30 September 2027; likewise the last customs declaration via e-dec Web is scheduled for 30 September 2027. After that, imports must be declared via Passar. Importantly, e-dec data is not migrated automatically to Passar — companies must plan archiving and migration with the BAZG and their software provider in good time. Anyone who only starts in 2027 is too late. As of June 2026.
