Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) sits at the far end of the Incoterms spectrum: unlike EXW, where the buyer does almost everything, DDP places every obligation on the seller. The seller delivers goods to the named destination in the import country, fully cleared through customs, with all duties and taxes paid. The buyer simply takes delivery – and arranges unloading unless otherwise agreed. For buyers, DDP eliminates exposure to freight volatility and import complexity. For sellers, the term demands either a direct import licence in the buyer's country or a reliable customs broker on the ground. DDP is common in cross-border e-commerce and large-volume supply agreements.
