DaziT is not a single "portal" but the transformation and digitalisation programme of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG); the related information is gathered on the DaziT pages of bazg.admin.ch. The programme was launched on 1 January 2018 and runs until 2026, with the aim of simplifying, harmonising and fully digitalising all customs, duty-collection and control processes. Its centrepiece is the new Passar goods traffic system, which is gradually replacing the legacy systems e-dec and (for transit) NCTS; DaziT also produced the ePortal as the central online gateway, the QuickZoll (for private individuals) and Activ (for commercial goods) apps, and more than 40 digital services. For professionals (forwarders, hauliers, customs agents, trading companies), the DaziT/BAZG pages consolidate roadmaps, migration deadlines (such as the replacement of e-dec by Passar) and technical specifications for system connection. Distinction and common misconception: DaziT is the programme or framework, not the declaration system itself – the actual customs declaration is made via Passar, Declar or (still) e-dec, with access through the ePortal.
