# DaziT

> DaziT is the transformation programme of the Swiss Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG, formerly the Federal Customs Administration EZV) that digitalises and unifies Switzerland's entire customs and duty collection.

DaziT is the transformation programme of the Swiss Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG, formerly the Federal Customs Administration EZV) that digitalises and unifies Switzerland's entire customs and duty collection. Approved by parliament in 2017, the programme runs until the late 2020s and consolidates around 30 legacy systems into a single end-to-end digital platform. Its centrepiece is the new goods traffic system Passar, which replaces the previous applications NCTS (transit), e-dec (import and export) and e-dec Web; it is complemented by the ePortal, the mobile Activ App and the web application Declar. The aim of DaziT is a simpler, fully electronic border crossing with less paper, clear business-partner roles and automated processes. For forwarders, importers, hauliers and shippers this means a step-by-step migration of customs clearance through 2027/2028. Not to be confused with the Passar system itself: DaziT is the overarching programme, Passar the IT solution that emerged from it. As of June 2026.
