The check covers UN number, hazard class, packing group, required labelling, transport documents, and safety data sheets under the relevant regulatory frameworks: ADR for road, IMDG for sea, and IATA DGR for air transport. Freight forwarders, shippers, and warehouse operators share responsibility for ensuring each consignment meets both documentary and physical requirements. Errors can result in carrier refusal, port rejection, regulatory fines, or—in the worst case—accidents in transit.
