This is where all ground handling activity converges: pushback tractors, catering trucks, cargo loaders, and maintenance crews work simultaneously around the aircraft. Ground handlers and freight forwarders coordinate turnaround operations here to meet tight departure windows. The apron is part of the airside and is accessible only to authorized personnel and vehicles. It is distinct from the taxiway, which is used solely for aircraft movement between the runway and parking stands.
