Unlike express courier services, consolidation programs run on fixed departure schedules over defined lanes, which means slightly longer transit times but significantly lower per-kilogram rates. From a customs perspective, the consolidator appears as the shipper on the MAWB, while the individual HAWBs reflect the actual cargo movements.
