# AGOV (Swiss authorities' login)

> AGOV is the central login service of the Swiss authorities (federal government, cantons, municipalities) that lets private individuals and companies sign in securely and without a password to digital public services.

AGOV is the central login service of the Swiss authorities (federal government, cantons, municipalities) that lets private individuals and companies sign in securely and without a password to digital public services. In plain terms: a single, secure login for many official online services – including the ePortal of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) and therefore the Passar goods-traffic system.

For professionals (freight forwarders, hauliers, customs agents, importers): AGOV replaces the previous CH-LOGIN. In the BAZG ePortal a login with AGOV can be created, or an existing CH-LOGIN migrated to AGOV, since 7 September 2025; all users must switch to AGOV by 31 October 2026 at the latest, after which existing logins are migrated automatically. Sign-in works without a username and password via secure methods such as the "AGOV access" app or a FIDO security key (passkey).

Important distinction: AGOV is only the sign-in (authentication) – which customs services a company may actually use is governed in the ePortal by the BAZG business-partner role and user administration.
