Logistisch verfügt das Land über den Hafen von Dakar als regionales Drehkreuz, internationale Flughäfen sowie Strassen- und Eisenbahnverbindungen, die wichtige Transitfunktionen in Westafrika erfüllen. Die Landeswährung ist der CFA-Franc BCEAO (XOF).
