Le corridor paneuropéen X (autoroute E75 et voie ferrée) relie l'Europe centrale, via Belgrade et Nis, à la Macédoine du Nord, à la Grèce et à la Turquie. Im Aussenhandel exportiert das Land Maschinen, Fahrzeuge, Agrarprodukte und Metallwaren, während es stark auf Importe von Rohstoffen, Energie und Fertigwaren angewiesen ist. Logistisch verfügt Serbien über ein gut ausgebautes Strassen- und Schienennetz, internationale Flughäfen und eine strategische Lage an wichtigen Transitkorridoren zwischen Westeuropa, Osteuropa und dem Nahen Osten. Die Landeswährung ist der Serbische Dinar (RSD).
