Strategisch wichtige Seehäfen wie Manila, Cebu und Davao sichern die maritime Anbindung und unterstützen die regionale Transitfunktion. Im Inland ist der Transport aufgrund der Insellage fragmentiert, zunehmend jedoch durch Häfen, Flughäfen und Binnenstraßen vernetzt. Die Landeswährung ist der Philippinische Peso (PHP).
