As an EFTA and EEA member it has access to the EU single market but is not part of the EU customs union, so customs formalities apply towards the EU. Import VAT (MVA) is 25 percent (reduced 15 and 12 percent); customs run through TVINN at Tolletaten, with the new Digitoll system being rolled out.
