## Description

Ouvert en mars 2025 dans le cadre de la phase 3 d'extension, le nouveau terminal 3 de Lanzhou Zhongchuan, doté de deux pistes supplémentaires, vise une capacité annuelle de quelque 300 000 tonnes de fret, soit environ 129 % de plus qu'en 2019 — mais pour un aéroport dont le rôle fret reste, pour l'heure, modeste. Zhongchuan dessert la capitale du Gansu depuis quelque 70 kilomètres au nord de la ville, l'un des transferts les plus longs de Chine, compensé par un train intercités d'environ 40 minutes. Le fret se limite pour l'essentiel à la soute : express, pièces pour la pétrochimie locale, produits alimentaires régionaux. Pas de réseau tout-cargo régulier — pour les acheminements intercontinentaux, les transitaires passent par Xi'an Xianyang (XIY), grande plateforme cargo de l'ouest chinois, à environ six heures d'autoroute. Atout complémentaire : Lanzhou est un nœud des corridors ferroviaires Chine–Europe des nouvelles routes de la soie.
