## Description

Over 4 million passengers a year — but unlike Croatia's coastal airports from Split to Dubrovnik, which live off the summer, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman (IATA: ZAG, ICAO: LDZA) carries its traffic year-round. The airport near Velika Gorica, a good 10 kilometres south of the centre, got a striking wave-roofed terminal in 2017 and is run under concession until 2042 by an international consortium including Groupe ADP. It is the home base of Croatia Airlines and, on the freight side, the country's only air cargo gateway of note: over 13,000 tonnes in 2024, mostly express and courier traffic, belly freight and occasional charters, handled in a dedicated cargo area with on-site customs.
