## Description

Rail has changed the freight picture here more than aviation: since 2021 the China–Laos Railway stops in Jinghong, moving Pu-erh tea, tropical fruit and cross-border goods towards Vientiane, while Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport (JHG) remains a passenger-driven operation. One of Yunnan's busiest airports, JHG offers dense domestic links plus international flights to neighbouring countries such as Thailand and Laos.
