## Description

Anhui's Wuhu is best known as the home of carmaker Chery and as one of the Yangtze's busiest inland container ports — its airport, Wuhu Xuanzhou (IATA: WHA, ICAO: ZSWA), plays a far smaller role in that logistics story. Opened in April 2021 to serve both Wuhu and Xuancheng, the airport was designed for 1.2 million passengers and about 5 000 tonnes of cargo a year. Domestic flights connect WHA with cities such as Beijing and Guangzhou, but no integrators or freighter operators serve the field. Export volumes from the regional automotive and manufacturing cluster move via Shanghai Pudong (PVG) or Nanjing Lukou (NKG), or by container barge from Wuhu's river port.
