## Description

In March 2005 Weihai Dashuibo Airport (IATA: WEH, ICAO: ZSWH) opened its first international route, to Seoul Incheon — a connection that has shaped the airport ever since. Korean Air, Asiana, Jeju Air and China Eastern fly the corridor today, carrying belly cargo driven by fast-growing e-commerce between China and South Korea. The international airport on the tip of the Shandong peninsula offers customs clearance and a cargo capacity of roughly 50,000 tonnes per year. Weihai's seaport adds ferry services to Korea, enabling fast sea-air and RoRo options. For Korea traffic, WEH is a credible choice for forwarders; for intercontinental freight, Qingdao (TAO) and Yantai (YNT) remain the stronger options a few hours away by road.
