## Description

Some 140,000 tonnes of cargo crossed Warsaw Chopin Airport (IATA: WAW, ICAO: EPWA) in 2025 — a record, up roughly 15 percent, and comfortably the largest airfreight volume of any Polish airport, well ahead of Katowice. The paradox: Chopin is an airport with an expiry date. Poland's CPK mega-hub between Warsaw and Łódź is slated to take over long-haul and cargo traffic in the early 2030s.
