## Description

A Stalinist-era facade from 1954 still greets arriving travellers – the historic terminal of Vilnius Airport (IATA: VNO, ICAO: EYVI) stands next to the new departure hall opened in February 2025, whose 14,400 square metres doubled handling capacity from 1,200 to 2,400 passengers per hour. Lithuania's capital airport lies barely 6 kilometres from the old town, with a commuter train covering the distance in minutes. At around 5 to 6 million passengers a year, VNO is the largest of the country's three commercial airports, run jointly by state-owned Lithuanian Airports; Ryanair, Wizz Air and airBaltic dominate the schedule.
