## Description

Today the Letaba Flying Club and a handful of business and private aviators are the main users of Tzaneen Airport (LTA), about 18 km east of the town in South Africa's Limpopo province. There are no scheduled airline or cargo services, and the airport has no freight terminal of its own. The surrounding district is a major producer of citrus, avocados and macadamia nuts, but export fruit travels by truck to OR Tambo in Johannesburg or via the nearby Polokwane, Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa airports. That makes Tzaneen a feeder point for road haulage rather than an air-cargo station.
