## Description

Copa Airlines built its entire network around Tocumen International Airport (IATA: PTY), the Panama City gateway it markets as the «Hub of the Americas». The carrier's cargo arm, Copa Cargo, moves freight in the bellyholds of this dense route web spanning North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, supplemented by dedicated freighter links such as Qatar Airways Cargo to Doha. In 2023 the airport handled roughly 208,573 tonnes of cargo, placing it among Central America's busiest freight airports. Its commercial pull comes from geography: PTY sits beside the Panama Canal and within an hour of the Colón Free Trade Zone, the second-largest free-trade zone in the world by turnover.
