## Description

In the far north of Pará, close to the Suriname border, Tiriós Airport mainly serves the remote settlement of Aldeia Tiriós and the indigenous communities around it. With almost no road access, the airstrip is effectively the only reliable link to the outside world. It has no commercial freight infrastructure, and traffic is limited to light aircraft, government missions and supply flights. For forwarders, Tiriós is not a cargo location: air freight for the area is handled through Santarém or the state capital Belém and distributed onward in small loads.
