Tenerife runs two airports with a strict division of labour: Tenerife Norte takes inter-island, mail and freight traffic, while Tenerife Sur Airport (IATA: TFS, ICAO: GCTS) on the dry south coast handles international tourism — a record 13.97 million passengers in 2025 (up 1.7 percent) against just 2,188 tonnes of cargo.
