## Description

Temora earned its place in Australian aviation as a Royal Australian Air Force elementary flying training school during the Second World War, a heritage kept alive today by the Temora Aviation Museum and its flying warbirds. In the present, the airfield in the Riverina wheat belt mainly hosts gliding, agricultural flying and general aviation rather than commercial traffic. There is no cargo terminal: regional consignments travel by truck to Wagga Wagga (WGA) some 90 kilometres away, or onward to the Sydney gateway. For freight forwarders, TEM is candidly not an airfreight option. Its appeal lies in heritage aviation rather than tonnage.
