## Description

Few airports sit so close to a giant they cannot match: Tauranga lies barely two kilometres from the Port of Tauranga, New Zealand's busiest seaport for exports such as kiwifruit and logs. The airport itself, at Mount Maunganui, is a passenger and recreation field — Air New Zealand to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, two regional carriers, plus skydiving and general aviation.
