## Description

Warehousing, customs clearance, freight forwarding and trucking, plus handling for dangerous goods and oversized consignments – the cargo set-up at Tabriz Shahid Madani International (TBZ) is built for more than passenger baggage. The airport sits in north-western Iran's East Azerbaijan province, an industrial region driven by petrochemicals, machinery and vehicle manufacturing whose export volumes feed its freight terminals. A dedicated zone processes goods bound for Silk Road destinations, sustaining trade with Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia, borders barely 60 and 130 kilometres away. Belly capacity moves on Iran Air, Mahan Air and Turkish Airlines, supplemented by regional charter freight. Road corridors run toward Tehran and the Turkish frontier at Bazargan, while the Tehran–Tabriz–Van railway adds an overland route toward Europe.
