## Description

Bonefishing built what little traffic Spring Point Airport (AXP) carries: the shallow flats around Acklins Island draw a niche of anglers to one of the southern Bahamas' remotest spots. Bahamasair serves the strip only a few days a week from Nassau. Beyond the lodges, there is little commercial activity to speak of. AXP has no cargo handling, so goods reach Acklins mainly by mail boat, with urgent items riding as belly load via Nassau (NAS).
