Siirt province in south-eastern Anatolia is widely known for its pistachios — in aviation terms, however, it is difficult terrain: the airport a few kilometres south of the provincial capital (IATA: SXZ, ICAO: LTCL) has repeatedly lost and regained its already thin scheduled traffic.
