## Description

Royal Air Maroc bases part of its operation at Rabat-Salé, the airport serving Morocco's capital, alongside Air France and Nouvelair Tunisie. Passenger traffic reached 2,169,189 in 2025, up almost 26 percent on 2024, and by early 2026 a 69,000 m² replacement terminal built under the national Airports 2030 programme was largely complete; annual capacity is set to rise from roughly 1.5 million to 5 million passengers, which should also add belly-cargo space. Freight moves through a terminal of about 1,360 m², where RAM Cargo runs a cold-storage facility able to take urgent and temperature-controlled consignments. Volumes stay modest: the country's real freight hub is Casablanca (CMN), only some 30 minutes away by road, where larger quantities are sensibly consolidated. Ground handling is provided by Swissport among others, and customs clearance by Morocco's ADII. The A1 and A5 motorways tie Rabat-Salé to Casablanca and the north, reinforcing its role as a capital-side feeder for light and time-critical air cargo. Shippers needing full freighter capacity should plan on CMN, or on Tangier (TNG) for northern flows.
