## Description

Royal Jordanian anchors the country's air-freight network at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM/OJAI), operating its RJ Cargo hub roughly 30 km south of Amman. In 2023 Menzies Aviation and AHS opened an 8,000 m² cargo terminal that lifted annual handling capacity to about 60,000 tonnes, using automated transfer vehicles and a very-narrow-aisle racking system with 2,400 pallet positions. The ALMRA facility provides warehousing, customs clearance, trucking and airside handling under one roof. Jordan's position between the Mediterranean and the Gulf makes Amman a natural staging point for relief and supply cargo bound for Iraq and Syria. A continuous road corridor links AMM to the Red Sea deep-water port of Aqaba, supporting combined air-sea movements. The airport is run under a public-private partnership by Airport International Group, which has steadily modernised its facilities. For forwarders, AMM offers a stable, well-equipped gateway into the Levant.
