Some 6.95 million passengers used Puerto Vallarta International Airport (IATA: PVR, ICAO: MMPR) in 2025, placing it among Mexico's ten busiest airports. Officially named Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport and operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), it is overwhelmingly a leisure gateway linking the Riviera Nayarit and the Jalisco coast to the US, Canada, the UK and domestic Mexico.
