## Description

Air Niugini, Papua New Guinea's national carrier, runs its main base and the bulk of the country's air cargo from Port Moresby Jacksons International Airport (POM). Smaller operators lean on its network too, making POM the effective clearing point for almost all of PNG's international freight. The airport can process around 162,000 tonnes of cargo a year, supported by a bonded warehouse, a transit zone and animal-quarantine facilities for exports such as fresh seafood, coffee and vanilla.
