## Description

Ponta Grossa (PGZ, ICAO: SBPG), known locally as Aeroporto Sant'Ana, has been without scheduled commercial flights since Azul ended its last service to Campinas in late March 2026. Run by the municipality in the centre of Paraná's Campos Gerais, it retains a certified runway of about 1,430 metres for regional and business aviation — in 2018 it became the first regional airport in Brazil to gain definitive operational certification from the authority ANAC. Scheduled cargo is negligible; goods move over the region's strong road and rail links. Forwarders route airfreight via Curitiba/Afonso Pena (CWB). A planned multimodal cargo complex (CACG) aims to combine air, rail and road for the Campos Gerais.
