## Description

The largest airport in the Federated States of Micronesia, Pohnpei International (PNI/PTPN) sits in the western Pacific, roughly 4,000 km southwest of Hawaii. It is best known as a stop on United Airlines' «Island Hopper» between Guam and Honolulu, with Nauru Airlines also serving the island. There are no dedicated freighters; belly capacity on these passenger flights is the island's main air link for goods and mail. For larger or time-critical air cargo, Guam (GUM) is the nearest hub and transshipment point toward Asia and the US mainland, so shipments to Pohnpei almost always route via Guam.
