Unlike the busy capital airport downstream, Pembroke is a quiet Ottawa Valley field serving Renfrew County and the nearby Petawawa garrison. General aviation, charter and business flights and aircraft maintenance make up its traffic; scheduled airline service has ended and no commercial cargo is handled.
