## Description

PFO/LCPH — Paphos International Airport on Cyprus's southwest coast is the island's second-largest airport after Larnaca and, unusually for a holiday gateway, operates a dedicated cargo terminal. Swissport runs the freight warehouse here, providing customs clearance, refrigerated storage, X-ray screening, forklifts and loading platforms, with round-the-clock ground handling. The passenger side is led by a Ryanair base plus seasonal charter flights from the UK, Israel and Central Europe. Cargo throughput is modest, however: Cyprus's main air-freight hub is Larnaca (LCA), which handled about 31,372 tonnes in 2024 (up 25.7% on 2023) and lies roughly 110 km east. Forwarders with larger or time-critical shipments generally route via Larnaca, using Paphos mainly for regional or overflow freight.
