## Description

Oudtshoorn built its fortune on the Victorian-era ostrich-feather boom, and the Klein Karoo town still trades on that heritage alongside the nearby Cango Caves. Its airport (OUH/FAOH), also known as Klein Karoo International Airport, is a general-aviation field with only sporadic links to Cape Town, used mainly by private, charter and sport flights such as skydiving and gliding. There is no cargo terminal or customs facility on site. Farm produce and other consignments travel by road to nearby George (GRJ, about 60 km) and onward through Cape Town (CPT) for air freight. For forwarders, Oudtshoorn is a road feeder rather than a cargo origin.
