## Description

The "Satoyama" in Noto Satoyama Airport (IATA: NTQ, ICAO: RJNW) refers to Japan's traditional mosaic of villages, rice terraces and woodland – the agricultural heritage that defines the Noto Peninsula. ANA links the airport to Tokyo-Haneda with two daily flights, and the terminal doubles as a roadside station with a farmers' market and municipal offices. After the January 2024 Noto earthquake it became a staging point for relief flights and evacuations; to help the region recover, from 7 July 2026 it is branded the "Noto Satoyama Pokémon with You Airport" – the world's first airport to carry the Pokémon name. There is no scheduled air cargo handling; freight from Wajima and the peninsula routes via Komatsu Airport (KMQ), about two hours south, or is trucked to the Tokyo airports.
