## Description

Amerijet International, DHL and IBC Airways run the dedicated freighter services at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN), Kingston's capital airport on a narrow spit guarding the entrance to Kingston Harbour. Operated since 2019 by Mexico's Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), KIN is Jamaica's business and cargo airport, handling over 80 percent of the island's airfreight while Montego Bay (MBJ) carries the tourist traffic. Its Cargo & Logistics Centre, opened in 2006, spans roughly 3,800 square metres and houses Jamaica Customs alongside courier and freight operators. Belly capacity comes from Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways and Caribbean Airlines. Typical loads include perishables, export goods and mail. A key advantage is proximity to the Port of Kingston, one of the Caribbean's largest container transshipment hubs, which opens combined air-sea options for forwarders. For the trade, KIN is Jamaica's principal air-cargo gateway.
