## Description

ANA Cargo runs its intra-Asian night operation not from Tokyo but from Naha (OKA/ROAH) on Okinawa, roughly 1,550 km south of the capital. Freighters, mainly Boeing 767s, arrive between 01:00 and 04:00 from points in Japan, China and Southeast Asia, are sorted on the ground, and depart again between 04:00 and 06:00. The airport handled 181,206 tonnes of cargo in 2024, against 434,779 tonnes of freight and mail in 2019, so volumes are still in recovery rather than at their peak.
