## Description

Two cargo terminals totalling some 30,000 m² and a combined throughput capacity of around 150,000 tonnes a year define the freight role of Mohammed V International, located at Nouaceur about 30 km south of Casablanca. It is also Morocco's busiest passenger airport, with three terminals. Freight Terminal 1 (11,200 m², roughly 50,000 t/year) and Terminal 2 (20,000 m², roughly 100,000 t/year) handle the bulk of the country's airborne trade. Mohammed V is the main base of Royal Air Maroc Cargo, which links Casablanca with Europe, West and Central Africa and the Middle East via belly and freighter capacity. Handling is provided by Swissport and RAM's own cargo arm, among others, and in 2026 RAM Cargo expanded its cool-chain facilities for pharmaceuticals and perishables. Customs clearance runs through Morocco's ADII, and the adjacent Midparc free zone hosts aerospace suppliers such as Bombardier and Stelia. The A7 and A5 motorways serve the site by road, while an ONCF rail connection to Casa-Voyageurs makes CMN one of the few African airports with a direct train link.
