DHL Express anchors the freight side of Malmö Airport (also Malmö Sturup; IATA: MMX, ICAO: ESMS), having installed ULD sorting equipment at the field about 30 km east of the city. Operated by the Swedish state company Swedavia, MMX offers two cargo terminals totalling roughly 10,300 m² and is southern Sweden's most important cargo airport, second in the Øresund region only to Copenhagen Kastrup.
