## Description

Eight kilometres southwest of the city, Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (IATA: AGP, ICAO: LEMG) handled 4,662 tonnes of air cargo in 2025, up 29.9 percent on the 3,588 tonnes of 2024 and well above the pre-pandemic level of 3,080 tonnes in 2019. Spain's fourth-largest airport by passengers — around 25 million a year — and the only southern Spanish field with a dense European and intercontinental network, AGP moves that freight almost entirely as belly cargo, alongside express and courier traffic; Swiftair connects Málaga to Spain's nightly mail and express network. Forwarders reach the site via the A-7 coastal motorway and the MA-20, while a Cercanías commuter train links terminal, city and Torremolinos every 15 minutes.
