## Description

Baijiu is Luzhou's signature export — the city is home to Luzhou Laojiao — and bottles of the spirit travel as belly cargo on flights out of Yunlong Airport (LZO), which opened in 2018 in southern Sichuan. The airport handled 7,007 tonnes of cargo and mail in 2025, up 35.5 per cent year on year, using a 1,800-square-metre cargo zone with a 1,500-square-metre warehouse rated for 10,000 tonnes annually. Belly capacity on routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen carries most shipments. Luzhou also operates Sichuan's largest Yangtze river port and a section of the Sichuan Pilot Free Trade Zone, giving forwarders river-air options. For widebody freighter capacity, Chengdu Tianfu (TFU) is the nearest major hub, about three hours by road.
