## Description

A record 7.49 billion pounds — roughly 3.4 million tonnes — moved through Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (IATA: SDF, ICAO: KSDF) in 2025, up about eight percent on the year. The Kentucky hub owes that scale to UPS Worldport, the largest automated package-sorting facility on earth: 5.2 million square feet and 155 miles of conveyor that handle more than 400,000 packages an hour during the overnight sort. In ACI's 2024 world ranking SDF placed fifth globally and third in North America behind Memphis and Anchorage. Passenger traffic is modest by comparison, around four to five million travelers a year, mainly on Southwest and Delta.
