## Description

Opened in March 2018, Longnan Chengzhou Airport (IATA: LNL, ICAO: ZLLN) ended the isolation of one of Gansu's most rugged corners in southern China. Built for about 150,000 passengers and just 500 tonnes of cargo a year, it has no dedicated freight terminal. Hainan Airlines, Hebei Airlines and Urumqi Air link Longnan mainly with Lanzhou, Beijing Daxing and Guiyang, and a roughly 100-day airfield upgrade ran through late 2025. The region's signature goods – Wudu olives, huajiao pepper and medicinal herbs – leave by truck, while air freight is consolidated at Lanzhou Zhongchuan (LHW) or Xi'an Xianyang (XIY). The Lanzhou–Chongqing railway ties the prefecture into China's main freight corridors.
