## Description

Set in the Rupununi savannah on Guyana's border with Brazil, Lethem (LTM) is first of all a frontier crossing: the Takutu River Bridge has linked the town to Bonfim and Boa Vista in Roraima since 2009. The airfield itself handles mainly Trans Guyana Airways services from Ogle (OGL), carrying passengers and light parcels rather than bulk freight. Heavy goods, consumer products and cattle move by road across the border or over the domestic airstrip network. Lethem has no dedicated air-cargo terminal or customs clearance for freight.
