## Description

Once Senegal's international gateway, Dakar-Yoff (Léopold Sédar Senghor) lost all commercial traffic in December 2017 when operations moved to Blaise Diagne (DSS). For several years it served purely military needs and still houses the Dakar-Ouakam air base. Since January 2024 it has been partly reactivated for military, charter and private aviation, and is slated to become Air Sénégal's domestic hub for L-410 flights to Kédougou, Tambacounda and Matam. Commercial airfreight no longer features here; that role sits entirely with DSS.
