## Description

Wind off the Pacific and the ochre slopes of the Atacama frame Las Breas (TTC), the airfield of the old nitrate port of Taltal in Chile's Antofagasta region. At 2,580 feet, the small field mainly serves general and corporate aviation, with no significant cargo operation. Copper and minerals from the surrounding district leave through the coastal ports and via Antofagasta. Air freight is handled at the regional hub of Cerro Moreno in Antofagasta (ANF), some 250 kilometres to the north. For forwarders, TTC is a local feeder rather than a transshipment point.
